Flights suspended at Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon Airports due to snow
The runways have been closed at both of the North West’s major airports this morning because of heavy snowfall overnight.
Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport is holding all flights while they work to clear the runway. At Manchester Airport incoming arrivals being diverted to alternative destinations. Both airports remain open and passengers are being advised to check with their airline for the latest information.
Staff at Manchester Airport say they’ve been working all night to try to make sure it’s safe for flights to resume.
